Irwin N. Megargee “Pen-y-Bryn”

“Minerva Parker, 14 South Broad Street, is working on a set of drawings for a frame house at Johnstown, PA., for Max M. Suppes. The cost will be $3,500.” (April 23, 1888)

“Among the plans recently furnished by Miss Parker are…a large frame dwelling for Max Suppee [sic], erected at Johnstown, PA.” (March 26, 1890)

Irwin Megargee created a model dairy farm in Gladwyne, Pennsylvania, calling it “Folly Farm.” Minerva apparently designed not only this cottage for the farm, but the main house as well.

The main house is no longer extant, but the site and cottage are used today by the Lower Merion Conservancy.
