“Parker…has on boards plans…for a house for Mrs. Jardan, to be built at Bala, Pa., to be stone and pebbled ash, shingled roof, two stories high, hot air, hard wood finish, wood mantles, best of sanitary plumbing.” (November 1, 1890)
“Parker…has made plans for a house to be erected at Cynwyed, Pa., to be of stone, pebble dashed, two and a half stories high, shingle roof, colonial style, hot air heat, electric work, and all modern conveniences introduced for general comfort. Contract has been awarded to Mr. J. Fretz. The same architect has placed the plans on boards for estimates for house of Mr. F.L. Harrington, on Upsal Street, Germantown, and noted in this journal in previous number. These include a handsome stable as well. All to be of stone, slate roofs and general modern conveniences introduced. For items refer to previous notes.” (December 7, 1892)
“This house is being built of local stone first floor with wall above finished in stucco. The thing most desired on the second floor was four communicating rooms, to accommodate a family consisting of small children, and if a look is taken at the location of the beds and the doors you will see what a small amount of space is traveled from the mother’s room, in the centre, to each child.” (American Architect and Building News, February 11, 1893)
